Your team already pastes contracts, customer emails and personal details into public chatbots, and this shadow AI is one of the hardest risks to govern because it happens quietly and outside any policy. Redactic gives people a safer way to use AI on real documents. Before any text reaches a model, Redactic detects names, tax codes, IBANs, addresses, contact details and national identifiers, and replaces them with consistent placeholders, so the model can still follow who did what without seeing who they are. You check what has been detected and adjust it, then ask the AI to summarise, compare or draft, and the answer is shown back to you with the original values restored. Workspace administrators choose which AI models the team may use and can restrict them to models hosted in the EU. The same engine also produces documents that are safe to share outside the company: permanent blackout on PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, scans and images, with OCR for documents that have no text layer and removal of document metadata. Detection and redaction take place on Redactic infrastructure in Europe, and every operation produces a certificate with the document hashes and a summary of what was removed, which helps you document how personal data was handled. Redactic works in the main European languages and recognises identifiers from several EU countries, so cross-border teams can rely on the same process.
