Bae

Bae is an AI companion builder from ppl.studio, designed around the one thing most companion apps drop: memory. Pick a shape from a hand-written library of 27 archetypes or take a two-minute quiz to get matched, generate a consistent phone-style face, set a personality register, and choose the name they call you. The whole build takes about three minutes and needs no sign-up, login or card — you stay anonymous until you choose to save your companion with an email.

From the first message Bae holds on to what you tell it — your name, your week, the things you said once — and brings it back unprompted across weeks and months instead of resetting each session. Closeness deepens through six relationship stages earned by talking; there are no streaks or guilt counters.

Free to build and talk every day, with real AI selfies that keep the same face. Pro from $2.99/week or $99/year (3-day free trial) adds unlimited messages, permanent memory and every stage. Web app, works in any browser, PWA-installable. Bae publishes a 14-day benchmark of twelve companion apps and ranks itself against them, never sells conversations, and offers one-tap delete-everything.
